| From Horsham or Worthing take the A24. From Horsham look out for
a roundabout signposted Southwater Country Park but carry on to the
next roundabout which again is signposted to the park. Take a right
exit and follow the road past the park which will be on your right.
You will pass the park entrance but carry on until you see a
signpost to the Industrial Estate. Take a right here into Cripple
Gate Lane and the car park will be on your right. From Worthing
continue past Ashington until you come to a set of traffic lights.
This is the cross roads for Billingshurst or Haywards Heath.
Continue straight on to the next roundabout which is signposted to
the park and turn left following the above instructions. The Lake is
accessed down a sharp incline from the car park. NOTE: there are not any facilities around this lake but there is a cafe/ toilets further into the park on the other side of the water sports lake. This is obviously open in the Summer months but winter opening is not known at this time. The water is fished by the Southwater Angling Society but day tickets are available on the bank. The lake is known to hold some very big carp and any updates would be welcome by M & B. |
