| This fishery consists of 2 ponds of approximately 11/2 acres
each Bottom pond nearest the car and Top pond farthest away. If
its quality fishing in a beautiful, tranquil setting you are after
then this is the place. There are some interesting contours and
features to fish to. Take the A3 from either Portsmouth or
Guildford. Look for the A287 signposted for Farnham. As you enter
CHURT look for Kitts lane or Crossways these will lead into CHURT
road. Go past Bacon lane and take the next right in to Smithfield
lane. This is a single track lane with a few passing points (We met
a dust cart in pouring rain with a small lay by 80 yards behind us
most interesting!). The fishery will be on your right marked by 2 oil
drums with a small sign for MBK fisheries. If you miss these turn offs continue and look for Star hill lane leading to Simmonstone lane, continue into Wishanger lane and go straight ahead until you are joined by Frensham lane on your right. The next left with a little island in the middle is Smithfield lane and the fishery will be on your left. (look for the oil drums.) maps & further instructions are available from their website. *note the toilet was not in commission when we were there so be warned. Never the less a really nice spot and remember to get your ticket before fishing. Please let us know how you get on. |
